Can we have Durzi and Vilardi back? Asking for a friend…
getting into the zone clean, pucks on net, ability to score from the point or find open guys, especially pp2. This is where we miss Durzi. We went form having a 2 good scoring units to one. Of course, we all know the downside.

For all his PP prowess, he absolutely is not worth the downsides for a team with aspirations of playoff contention.

Especially considering his absence of moxie towards the end of his time with the Kings.

would love to see his card this season....much of the hate on TMAC was his round hole square peg approach....

Surprise! Harder minutes but better utilization equal....

I'm going to chalk up the lack of moxie in the end with his concussion. Pretty sure he got another in the playoffs too. From what I've seen this year, the moxie is there again.

Which tracks with what we said all along. Great offensively, poor defensively, don’t play him on the penalty kill or late in a game protecting a lead and you’ll get the most out of him.
Or don't play him on the left side.

I know this was suppose to be a compliment but that sounds like a pretty average player. He’s definitely not missed. I wouldn’t want him on my playoff team.

...he's tracking in the top 25% of 1st pairing defensemen

whether you want him or not, that's dogshit trade value in return, and emphasizes how dumb his utilization was here

AND for 1.7m this year

We always knew he would put up more points wherever he went. I’m not arguing that.

I was happy to see him gone and still am. I guess that’s where it ends for me.

Well, certainly this.

I mean, he'd probably be our second-best defenseman this year. He gives us a better chance of winning today than Clarke or Spence. His lack of foot speed got him into big trouble in the playoffs though, I agree. I'm not pining for Durzi or anything, just reflecting on his poor usage here.

He was utilized wrong like a lot of other players under the Kings system this year. I think that’s just always going to be an issue. Maybe next season we will see a difference with the younger players. I guess with him, it just hurts a little less.

Anyone noticing a certain tone from the commentators when talking about a PLD f*** up recently. It’s been a few games in a row now where Fox and even Stoll tonight sound like they want to say more but are biting their tongues. Maybe it’s just me.
Maybe. But I tuned out Fox a long time ago.

I respect Stoll’s opinion however.

Fox and Evan’s however can follow Luc, Blake, Bathe and Bergivan out of town.

I always felt Durzi could end up being a quality player if used correctly. On the right side, paired with a defensive specialist, preferably bottom pair, and getting PP time. I think he could be a 50 point dman.

But that was never going to happen here because we had ten thousand RHD.

Walker too. He needed to got to a place that could give him time to recover.

Ultimately, a pipeline can only hold so much water before it starts to leak. And the bottom feeders get the leaked water for cheap.

A 2nd was a dogshit return? Never even thought he could get anything higher than that.

Who’s the most valuable player, Roy or Durzi? I think it’s Durzi. And that’s factoring in his position on this team. Ideally he should slot behind Doughty while balancing out the offense at a cheap price with Drew’s defense at surplus cost.

But I can see keeping Roy since he fits the identity and is more reliable. The issue really is trading Durzi for less than full value. We got a second for him plus the cap space. Which led up to the trade for you know who.

The gamble was a platoon of Spence and Clarke would equal Durzi at the same cost. It was a risky bet at the time. Looks to be a loser to date.

I think Durzi's deal is up, not sure we could afford his payday. He's going to be getting 4-5 plus now.

The Kings are clinging to the 7/8 playoff spot in the Western Conference.

If the Kings were shitting on a toilet with a bidet in Calgary or St. Louis, they would get flushed.
