yeah, he's just not NHL quality. I'm sure when he gets waived people will bitch and about how they threw him away, didn't give him a chance, 4th line duties, blah blah blah...he's an AHLer, nothing more.
Reactionary and jumping to conclusions.

Only Vancouver has more regulation wins than us, and they've played 2 more games than we have.

Laf making the people who said he should be sent down look dumb, what a game he's had

I said this (Laf down, Turc up) in another thread and dumb is a bit harsh lol. But he had a nice game today, no disputing that.

At the same time though, you can't just ignore that after maybe the first 8 or 9 games of the season, his play started to struggle. So much so that TMac felt he needed to sit. The idea was more so he could have an opportunity to refine his game in a top 6 role and at the same time give Turcotte a chance to show what he can do.

Copley also had a really strong game too. Do all the folks talking about needing a backup goalie or that he's donkey ass look dumb as well?

This might be the best Kings team since 2013. Amazing considering it’s almost in spite of the Dubois trade. Some guys are playing outstanding hockey (Mr. Thousand Oaks, QB) and some guys have been a little underwhelming (Fiala, Dubois).

We might be first place in the West after a quarter of the season with an outside chance at best record overall to boot.

Crazy stuff.

Dubois filled Fiala's shoes tonight with the dumb penalties.

Really happy with Copley's game tonight. Kept the team in it in the first period and once the Kings stopped giving up grade A chances he was able to lock it down. If we can get more performances like that for the rest of the season then we'll be fine.

Can't stop thinking about that Byfield assist

Can we give PLD a break? He's played 17 games. Not even half a season with a new team.

Knock on wood, but I was right about Englund :)
It's not 17 games, it's 17 games + 6 years of the same. He is what he is at this point.

I'm just thankful that Byfield's play has him emerging as a potential C option later in the season when opposing coaches figure out they can exploit the Dubois line.

The crazy part is how much we miss Vilardi on the power play. We rank in the top five for nearly everything else in the league. Yes, perhaps other teams are having a hard time matching up against Dubois, and maybe that explains his relative lack of production so far. The season is young. Still, it’s fun to say what if. Every year, some team is the best in the league. It’d be a lot of fun if it was us.

Just as crazy is that they're scoring at just a smidge under 4 GPG with an underwhelming Fiala and Dubois AND have the lowest GA in the WC with Talbot and Copley as the goalie combo. Who'd have seen that one...

Edit: GA not GAA

I’ll give you one even crazier than that: we have the easiest schedule remaining in the NHL.
