Has to be mutually agreed to. (Or unilaterally for cause, say after suspension.)

Team can unilaterally buyout player only in off season during specific windows.

He's not earning any more money off of the contract so it's just an anchor for him as Vegas needs to be involved in any movement he makes, and contract he wants to sign. TDL is around now in Europe, too.
