I think Daylan Kuefler could get some consideration by the Sens with a late pick. He is a 3rd year draft eligible power forward who had 7 fights this season. His stats in the WHL this year were:
65 GP 38 G 21 A 59 pts
He then followed that up in the playoffs with the following stats:
17 GP 10 G 7 A 17 PTS
He has also had some high praise from Shane Doan

Excellent candidate for Ottawa to take in the later rounds.

Reminds me of the Reinhardt and Kastelic picks.

Someone will make a mistake and reach for Hutson and end up holding out hope for years

Won't be until the 2nd or late 1st at the absolute earliest though, teams aren't going to be excited to add a guy like him as much as fans would

I could also see Philly taking Gauthier at 5th & I think it could be one of Kasper or Lekkerimaki at 7th OA. Ott just needs one of those first six teams to take someone else & they could take one of those top six.

1. Wright
2. Slafkosky
3. Cooley
4. Nemec
5. Gauthier
6. Jiricek
7. Kasper
8. Lekkerimaki
9. Korchinski
10. Mintyukov
Hopefully one of the top 6 will fall to us at 7.
Kemel probably fits into the top 10/11 too. I suppose any one of those top 11 would be an acceptable pick. But no more reaches.

Lekkerimaki or Kasper again for me if it falls like this. Please don't reach past 20 on this list this year.

Man I hope Jiricek slips one more spot... I see no world in which we draft Kemell at 5'9.5

Bob calling Wright and Slavkovsky as projected 2nd line players with the potential to be top line guys. Seems to be more depth and less top 3 shine this year.

Option to trade up 1 spot if he falls there if CBJ is willing. Maybe 7 and a late 2nd?

Kemmel or Kasper to the Sens unless someone falls.

I know for sure that the Euro scouts are high on Kasper, just not sure how loud their voice is in the room.

Kasper is a Sen if they keep their pick, as close to a safe bet as you can get.

If Cutter and the 2 RHD are gone I am on board with either Kasper (more likely a Sens kinda pick) or Kemmel (would be a different kinda pick for us, but incredibly talented.)

It really seems to me though there is a drop off in talent after 6 and that kinda sucks

It's definitely possible.

Assuming Gauthier goes top 5, all that would be needed is Jarmo going "off the board" (as he likes to do) for someone like Kasper, Lekkerimaki, Korchinski, etc... and Jiricek would be available at 7.

Button just called Gauthier the best goal scorer in the draft. I would personally be willing to move up to 4 or 5 for him. But I think Arizona is gonna take him at 3

Lol, Kemell getting the expert opinion on his bone age to entice teams to draft him in hope that he continues growing

I'm surprised Lambert is still ranked top 20. Wouldn't consider him with a 1st round pick.

Luneau ranked at the end of the 1st. Hopefully he can make it to our 2nd.

McGroarty ranked 27th should hopefully mean he's not a consideration at 7th OVR. Could be a good move-up target in the late 1st potentially though.
