Oh, but Josh Allen's growth is going to convince every coach who thinks they are a quarterback whisperer they can take a tools guy and coach him into a pro bowler.
Allen at least you can justify based on size, athleticism, arm talent.

Zach Wilson has arm talent but not the size and his athleticism is good but he’s not quick like Kyler, fast like Lamar or elusive like Russ.

I would take Will Levis over Zach Wilson coming out of college based on the size difference. And at least Levis has faced high end competition in the SEC so you have some basis of how he will react to nfl defences (in terms of player talent).

Interesting stat:

In the first eight games of the season, Darius Slay (Eagles CB) gave up a 37.2 passer rating to QBs when targeted - 2nd best in the NFL. The last six games, not including the game against Dallas? 136.9 - the 2nd worst in the NFL.

And after the game last night, it may be down to worst in the NFL. He repeatedly got cooked.

Don't say anything at all
CBS is the NFL's oldest TV partner, having aired games in all but 4 years since 1956.

Recently they brought on sister network Nickelodeon to air alternate telecasts of select national CBS games aired at a youth audience as well as a youth-oriented highlight show, NFL Slimetime.

The NFL can expand its relationship with the owner of both networks, Paramount Global, by having the company acquire a minority stake in NFL Media.

As a result, Paramount Home Entertainment would begin distributing NFL content on home media while the NFL Films archive would be added to Paramount+. This home media distribution arrangement would be important if NFL Films starts producing scripted content which would largely be NFL-related and air on NFL Network, allowing the content to have a high-profile home media distributor.

Additionally, CBS would begin co-producing games airing on NFL Network, and move production of its NFL studio programming to Paramount Studios in Hollywood, while Paramount Global Distribution Group would distribute NFL Films content internationally.

I think there’s definitely money to be made here with the NFL uploading archived games and such. There’s a lot of them floating around YouTube. That’s how I started Covid. I don’t think the NFL needs another streaming distributor until/unless they give up on NFL+.

NFL+ is strictly for showing live games. Archival programming in the NFL Films library would go to Paramount+.

And scripted content from NFL Films also doesn't have to be limited to TV (where each episode or telefilm would be up on Paramount+ the day after it airs on NFL Network). NFL Films can also produce theatrical movies, which would be distributed by Paramount Pictures, with one possibility being a docudrama about how the Dallas Cowboys came into existence and their first ever season of play.

Remember when every sunglasses car selfie guy said he was done with the NFL forever?

So, you see Fox paying a little bit more. This didn’t get much play, but starting next year, Fox owns the exclusive rights for any game played on Christmas outside of the normal time slots. Christmas is not on a Sunday again until 2033 (last year of the deal), so we won’t see what we had this year for a while.

They can do anything they want with NFL+, they own it and they own the footage. And the thing that really makes these streaming services run is content, so they have incentive to do it in their own. If CBS wants to spend the money to sub-license the content, or not, I think there’s a market for it.

It's honestly nuts that teams like the Cowboys and Patriots (whose international appeal is limited) are worth more than teams like Real Madrid and FC Barcelona who have massive fanbases around the globe. Not sure if it should be taken at face value but this list: The World’s 50 Most Valuable Sports Teams 2022 has 8 teams (!) worth more than Real Madrid. I get that the difference between local markets and countries is enormous but Real Madrid has fans in like Bangladesh who would die for them.

NFL teams just dominate this list and they're only massive in the US and Canada. The freaking Boston Red Sox are 30th, barely above the Ravens and Chargers.

Hackett wishes you had played better also. ;)

Denver has to shell money to a veteran coach that will call the plays for Wilson. Russ is and never will be a true pocket passer since he moves around with his legs to often, but his running ability has been shot for years now.

No up and coming coordinator would want this job.
