glötzl - munzenberg
szuber - hänelt
klein - elten

peterka - reichel - stutzle
Lutz - F.Elias - Blank
samanski - Dube - Volek
Borzecki - kechter - M.Elias

Something like that?

If all players play, then i think this team could take medal. Not realistic that Stutzle will be there thought.

Doubt stutzle will be there. Looking forward to see Lutz at Hlinka Gretzky cup, is he ready for top 6 minutes already at WJC. I’d like to see him stand out at HGC first. Still that first line should be one of the best at the tournament even without stutzle.

Stuzle will definitely not be there, he has nothing left to prove at that level.

I expect Bennet Roßmy to make the team, he’s been stellar at international tournaments for Germany.

Other guys to keep an eye on:
Joshua Geuß
Luca Hauf
Nikolaus Heigl
Roman Zap
Kevin Niedenz
Yannick Proske
Arkadiusz Dziambor
Nils Elten
Leo Hafenrichter
Justin Spiewok
Luca Ganz

Any word on Peterka sticking with the Sabres? Seems like he was playing pretty well in the preseason.

Very good possibility he starts with the Sabres; yet to be seen whether he sticks or not but he has at the very least earned a 9 game audition.

Reichel and Peterka making their teams as 19 year olds with Stützle making it as a 18 year old sucks for Germany and hurts their chances sticking in the top division - But it also shows how good they’re becoming at developing young talent.

Hänelt will be a forward from here forward it seems, hes playing LW in Gatineau and playing well. Doubt he reverts back to defence.
Florian Elias likely plays with the big 2 since he had so much success with Stützle and Peterka last year and im doubtful Moritz makes the team.
Markus Schweiger is a returning player so I doubt he gets left off the team.
Danjo Leonhardt should make the team, had a strong showing in the summer.
Hafenricter is a name to watch on defence, hes slowly creeping his way into the tier that Hauf, Kechter and Lutz are in.
Fabrizio Pilu is another name to watch on defence.

Other guys that may make the team:

Jussi Peterson
Maciej Rutkowski
Maximillan Menner
Michael Bartuli
Paul Reiner
Kevin Niedenz
Daniel Schwaiger
Nikolais Heigl
Josef Eham
Korbinian Geibel
Paul Mayer*

Goalkeepers:
Florian Bugl and Nikita Quapp will duel for the No. 1 spot. Arno Tiefensee is currently set as No. 3. However, his performances at the last World Championship and in the DEL2 are suboptimal. Niklas Lunemann is the better goalkeeper. However, Lunemann currently only has a place in the U20 team of the Cologne Sharks. Nick Vieregge only with an outside chance.

Defenseman:
Luca Münzenberger, Arkadiusz Dziambor, Maximilian Glötzl and Maksymilian Szuber are set. Glötzl with the most ice time in the pro section. Korbinian Geibel, Fabrizio Pilu, Simon Stowasser and Adrian Klein are ahead of Daniel Schwaiger, Maximilian Menner, Paul Reiner and Maxim Rausch. Justus Böttner will be tested for the first time.

Forwards:
Stützle, Reichel and Peterka will not be part of the team. Dube is struggling with health problems. Safe are Moritz Elias, Joshua Samanski, Jakob Borzecki and Justin Volek. Josef Eham and Danjo Leonhardt should also have no problems to find themselves in the WJC-team. The remaining candidates will have to fight for their place.
Otherwise, there are few surprises. Fabian Herrmann returns to the illustrious circle, but is only on call for Lillehammer. Yannik Burghart, who used to be part of the Bavaria selection in younger age and currently plays for Kaufbeuren DEL2 and DNL U20, will be tested. In the DNL U20 he has a run with 14 goals in 14 games and also in the second league it seems to run for him.
Bennet Romy is in the squad for Lillehammer. Sebastian Cimmerman and Thomas Heigl on call. Moritz Elias has no easy status with the German federation and is currently not a candidate.

Possible Nominations:

Florian Bugl, Nikita Quapp, Niklas Lunemann

Luca Münzenberger, Maximilian Glötzl
Fabrizio Pilu, Maksymilian Szuber
Simon Stowasser, Arkadiusz Dziambor
Korbinian Geibel

Florian Elias, Justin Volek, Joshua Samanski
Danjo Leonhardt,
Fabian Herrmann, Alexander Blank
Jakub Borzecki, Bennet Roßmy, Kevin Niedenz
Thomas Heigl, Nikolaus Heigl, Josef Eham
Maciej Rutkowski

Part of the team is usually made up of younger cohorts to prepare them for their role as high performers the following year.

Will Reichel and Peterka be there? Stutzle, obviously not but those 2 would be fun to watch together
I'd hope both are released, and think that as long as they aren't with the big club they will be. They make for a very dominant line, regardless of who is their centre. I think after what happend to last year's German team (no Seider, no Reichel) it is owed to them. Last year could have been one of the best German team's ever iced if it wasn't for covid.

Though Seider opted to stay with his club early on as he was dominating, so we probably shouldn’t put that one on Covid.

I feel that Alexander Blank is undervalued. Garoto was a DEL rookie of the year last year, has played in the center almost every game this season and has better numbers than Florian Elias. Aside from the fact that Elias centered Stutzle/Peterka in the last worlds and did very well, I don't see why Blank can't be C1 with Reichel/Peterka in the next wjc.

I believe that was part of it, but primarily was because he didn't want to miss a month of his season to play a handful of games at the world juniors.

Is this the final team? Or just guys playing in Europe?

Don't see Reichel, Peterka or Hanelt there.
Hänelt is injured and both Peterka and Reichel are doing really well in the AHL and could be called up soon to the NHL.
Reichel may be injured as well.
Basically, their NHL teams have chosen not to loan them (yet).
Bug blow for Germany but we have seen it before.
