nope, nothing is going to top that mess. I said it earlier, they got caught up in the media and family thing and weren't into this game from the start. Todd and the coaches job is to prevent this...THEY FAILED!

Splitting hairs but I think this was worse. They came back and at least got a point in the original debacle game. This game they were shit start to end... they basically bent over, reached back and self-prepped the ky, then submitted to a pounding and didnt even make a noise.

The brilliance of Rob Blake to hire the coach that got reverse swept is truly mind blowing. Being defeated is a part of his dna and there’s people that act like Todd is playing 5D chess when this same loser got reverse swept. There’s no high Iq plan. The guy obviously is a bonafide loser. rolls same d pairings that hasnt worked all season long
gives up 3 goals in 66 seconds....doesnt call a time out.

Has there been 1 game this season with that D Corp that hasnt given up at least 3 goals?
Durzi is a d liability playing on his proper side- TMAC continues a failed experiment while Bjornfot languishes.
Walker/Edler/Durzi just not good enough to play NHL minimum level defense- thats 1/2 the dmen.
TMac simply refuses to make the obvious adjustments.

Should Waive Walker, call up Spence.

Roster is good enough to beat the leagues bottom half, not good enough to beat the top half; current D corp and Tmac are the reasons why.

Also note Note that Durzi is 24- older than Liligren and Dahlin. Walker 28, Edler 36, Roy 27. Lets stop pretending the Kings have a young inexperience D corp that can improve. They currently have an Old D Corp composed of one generational talent, a young nhl quality counterpart, a passable journeyman in Roy, an offensive specialist who cant play D, a guy whose clearly over the hill, and a guy who never was and never showed consistent NHL ability.

Leafs D rolled with Liligren and Sandin and each logged over 18 minutes. When Bjornfot last played he had the 3rd highest TOI- so tmac liked him enough to give him the 3rd most time....but not enough to play him more in favor of the d lineup that has sucked all season long.

Go back and watch the reverse sweep series, and the same hard headed absence of adjustments are on display.

That was a beatdown. No idea how Toronto did not pit a couple in the first. Not just the number of shots given but they all seemed to be from the homeplate area in front of the net. Somehow made it to the intermission at zeroes, than continued to suck in the 2nd.

Durzi looked like crap through two. Soo many bobbles of the puck. Then after the slash/high stick, he seemed to play better once the crowd rode his ass. I am far from a Durzi supporter but christ did I want him to get a goal after that. Getting boo'd at your home rink, with so many family and friend in the stands, by the team that drafted you, for taking a stick to the back of the head.

GDT after GDT, nobody ever wants to question the on-ice leadership group. There's only so much coaches can do to prepare you, but getting speedbagged over and over is on the players and the continual lack of accountability from the elder statesmen of the team.

When your captain has a personal "live to fight another day" approach to every shift and every game, how do you expect that to translate throughout the lineup?

Too many hugs, not enough drugs in this team.
