I think the Habs (Molson) should buy the Lions and pay the rent.

The best thing that could happen to the Lions is local owner who knows the very well the market.
The Lions are not implicate in the community, they don't have activities with the fans and the players.

It's hard for the fans to have an attachement to the team even if I see a lot of kids with the Lions brand who is beautiful.

Hopefully Montreal steps in and purchases the team or a part of it. I felt it was underutilized by the organization and poorly ran. Sure it needs the veteran players, and the Laval call-ups but was expecting more undrafted NCAA and CHL players being given a shot to make an impression. As well the almost all Quebec players on the team might be better for marketing but has proven to be a failure on the ice. Maybe a winning team would also draw fans? Would also like Montreal to have the ability to groom executives and young coaches for the future there.

The Lions have been decimated the last 2 years with injuries from MTL/LAV and also callups while at the same time not being able to call up minor league players from that what's-it-called semi-pro league that wanted to suspend anyone that would play with them.

At some point you just run out of guys to put on the ice lol

At some point during the first season, the lineup was so decimated with COVID that Bergeron was thinking getting back on ice himself haha!

Looks like M-A Bergeron is leaving 3R. So they now have no coach and no GM. And no president either as Mark Weightman left to go back to the Als.

Regarding M-A Bergeron, Vachon says that a few weeks ago, Bergeron told him he'd be returning to resume his double duties as coach and GM. Obviously, things changed.

Pascal Rhéaume, who is the Assistant Coach, would be getting the promotion, but he's also looking at other options, as well.

Too bad for Bergeron, he was there from the start and he's well established in the community. Rhéaume seems to be a good hockey mind and well respected guy.
