After the last few games where Kostenko was listed on the second pair, he is now listed as the 7D:

Big win for Kunlun. They beat CSKA.

- Kunlun wins 2-1 in OT
Kostenko with 0 pts / 1 Hit / 1 Blocked Shot / 7:59 TOI

Being the 7D might make sense since they were facing one of the best teams in the league.

Sobolev playing a pre-season game for Windsor. Listed at 3RD:

I think we can safely assume that we know the Canadiens don't have any plans for him as he wasn't at rookie camp and won't be at the main camp.

Sobolev with an assist as Windsor takes a 1-0 lead.

Prospects in action today:

- Kostenko @ noon
- Dichow @ 1PM ET (will most likely be the back up)
- Engstrom @ 1PM ET

The Q regular season starts today. Obviously the Habs prospects in the Q are at the Habs' camp. So over the next week, we should see them get cut and join their junior teams.

Just to confirm that Dichow will be the back up for Frolunda.

Engstrom will be the 7D for Rogle. The U20 team isn't playing today so he won't be pulling double duty again.

I wish Engstrom didn't have the jabroni spot but being on the big team at all is a pretty big deal in itself. He was expected to only be in the mix next season.

Quite a few PP's at the end, Didn't see Engstrom once. Great goal by Wallinder at the end of the 3rd though. Detroit is going to be stacked on D.....

He's pulling double duty with U20 when possible so at least he's getting SHL experience AND getting meaningful minutes to be the #1 in another league.
That's interesting, wonder how many U20 players do this.

I've never seen it before simultaneously

Good thing outside of Raymond they are pretty weak up front. I like Kasper and Berggren but that's not enough.

Nice first goal, wonder how high he ranks among Russian D. Without Russia in the WJC, it's hard to gauge how good he is compared to his peers. Feel like he's been quite good last couple years statistically at least. Seems like he's getting more icetime than Romanov did in KHL at 19.

He kind of didn't make the WJC (the cancelled one) when he had the opportunity, so I doubt that he would make it even if Russia was there, therefore I don't think it would help here anyway.
