Lindberg have been good in KHL and EHT. Did a good job at WC 2018 aswell.

Ah yes...you are right. What goalies then if you speculate?

Well with 28 players i let Eklund and Ljungh in. :thumbu: and...Joel Persson/Pilut perhaps.

Fröden have shown great chemistry in EHT with Berggren and Wingerli.
I do wonder if any of Ottawa's goalies will go despite no contract. As for reinforcements at goalie outside of NHL, idk if they try and pickup anybody else.

Dates when the likely non-playoffs teams in the NHL play their final games:

8: Rangers, Buffalo, Anaheim, Arizona, Detroit, Columbus
10: Devils, Philly, Chicago, Dallas/Nashville
12: Ottawa, SJ
13: Kings
19: Vancouver, Calgary

NHL regular season ends 19 may, WC starts 21 may. And i think i read somewhere that players joining from NA must be in lock down for a whole week. These 2 factors probaly means no NHL players in WC.

Reinforcements from SHL and NLA finals teams is a must. I assume Dahlbeck is still on the rader, but he wanted some rest and will back to Carlson Hockey Games.

The best we can hope for:

Emil Pettersson - Lindberg - Rasmussen
Everberg - Ryfors - Zaar
Fröden - Wingerli - Berggren
Friberg - Eklund - E.Larsson
Hållander - Ljungh - Wedin
Strömvall

Lööv - Lundkvist
Dahlbeck - Persson
Pilut - Holm
Folin - Tömmernäs
Hansson

Reidenborn
Rifalk
Ersson

Only 2 teams have their regular season end the 19th, as you can read above.

It has also been stated somewhere I can't remember (Garpen might've said it?) that NA teams+NHLers will get charter planes to Worlds.

Yeah but as i understood NHL rules nobody will be realised until all clubs played their last games, that everyone have to wait on Canucks playing their games.

Rydahl line, & Lööv are rough to watch.

Garpen says 15th May is the date for NHLers to fly over.

Rydahl have not been good in a single Tre Kronor game ever. He just cant keep up. Friberg and Larsson have been good many times for Tre Kronor but not today. If Garpenlöv decides to go with a checking-unit, i sure hope Sylvegård is not part of it, he is too bad for this level. Friberg - Bengtsson - Larsson i would be ok with as a checkingline in WC. But i have no idea why Larsson never finish his checks when playing for Tre Kronor. Im gonna send a message to him and garpenlöv/åkerblom about this on twitter, facebook or whatever.

Lol, what are the odds that Gustav Lindström gets a call? I know he dont have a contract etc..but...guess who is uncle is? Thats right, Our assistent coach Marcus Ragnarsson.

Grundström, Johnsson, Bemström.

Maybe its a good idea to invite them after all. Grundström had a good season. Johnson had a bad season but we know he is normally a good NHLer. Same with Bemström who btw was great in Liiga before going to NHL. Jesper Boqvist is another one, skilled fast player who we know is a top player in euroleagues, now he gained NHL experiance even if his points are not that impressing.

If Hägg gets a invite, i will scream then cry.

No idea what they see in Rubin. Very mediocre goalie.

Lines?

Berggren - Wingerli - Fröden
Rasmussen - Kempe - Lindberg
Hållander - Eklund - Wedin
Friberg - Ljungh - Larsson
Olofsson - Lindholm - Sylvegård

Pilut - Dahlbeck
Lööv - Lundkvist
Holm - Bäckström
Albert - Pudas
Sellgren - Nygren

If we speculate about future adds from Rögle and Växjö i could see Emil Pettersson, Holmberg, J.Persson, Folin, Rifalk, Ryfors, Zaar, Hansson and Everberg get a invite.

NLA playoffs i guess Klingberg and Tömmernäs might get a invite.

Note that covid is one of the reason he says why he is declining. Cant see many NHLers come if any. The team we have right now with players from Rögle, Växjö + Tömmernäs and C.Klingberg is by all means our WC team.

Shame that Karlsson declined, he hasn't got a medal from IIHF WC, I thought he would go. Still 15 days to begin the tournament, maybe some NHL players will be added to Sweden roster.

I will disappoint you, but the NHL players will play for the Swedish national team. Garpenlev said that a number of hockey players have already given preliminary consent.

It should be no surprise that a veteran like Karlsson, with his injury history and family history, and now the pandemic, declines his invitation. We are probably gonna see many veterans decline. It's not gonna be a great team (compared to our Olympic roster), but it's gonna quite a few NHL'ers on it I'm sure.

Some obvious aspects that increases the chances of NHL'ers accepting invitations:

* Being healthy.
* Having a contract for next year.
* Being young and having no children.
* Having missed much of the NHL season.
* Having played on a lottery team all season.
* Having little to no experience on the national team.
* Being on the cusp of next years Olympic team.

I probably missed a couple.

Basically, guys like Hampus Lindholm and Rickard Rakell should be likely candidates. They basically fit all of these things.

Would u guys want Omark on this team, if he wants to play? 61 points in 49 games is impressing. I know he is never good vs top 6 nations...but we could need his scoring against lesser nations.
