Genuinely not sure what looks worse the farther removed we get from it: losing to Miami at home or giving up any points at all to Houston and sneaking out with a win.
Barely beating the Texans was worse. They were going to lose that game if the Texans didn't f*** around and punt it into their own blockers, Mills is averaging 147 ypg as well as 2td/7int against anyone not named the patriots but you let him put up 312 and 3tds on your defense. Miami game was still a really bad loss but it was week 1, you fumbled the game away and the first half was coached way too conservatively, you can correct those things. The Texans game made the Patriots look like a bottom 3 team barely beating the least talented roster the league has had in a while, even the 0-16 Lions had Calvin Johnson.

Hell baby
I did not watch much of the Tampa game maybe 5 minutes

I’m a Fields fan and hope he turns out great

Did he look bad ? Under seige ?

Josh Fields was very bad, I saw some of the game and the awareness + decision-making is lacking. Could be rookie stuff, could be a fundamental flaw

pretty remarkable we got the best QB in the draft at 15….

Patriots are in the position where they are kinda damned if they do and damned if they don't. If they blow out the bad teams it's, "who cares team X is the worst team in the league" if they barley win its "omg they barley beat a terrible team" they are more or less in a lose/lose with a lot of people
