I get that this deal walks Ned into UFA and all that but trading him for a UFA who turns 33 and a 3rd rounder make very little sense. Ned was RFA . At worst he gets an arbitration deal . Bernier is not a good replacemnt.

Gotta think Canes now looking for a goalie again.

What an embarrassing deal for the Hurricanes lmao. Dude ended up getting 2 years at $3m per. That's nothing for a 25 year old goalie coming off a Calder nominee. Literally no risk to that contract

Even if he walked at the end of that contract, there's no way two years of him is only worth a 3rd. Bernier is a UFA too so they may not even sign him.

There has to be some other reasoning for this from Carolina. It's a ridiculously stupid deal.

Maybe he wanted a fresh start since Car did put him on waivers at the beginning of the year, and then lowballed him an offer. Just f this im out

There has to be something else in the works for Carolina. Hell I wish we jumped on this deal and sent Khudobin elsewhere. To think we could've had Nedeljkovic for basically what Dickinson got us lmao. I have a hard time believing that their values are equal

Canes weren't willing to qualify their best goaltender because they didn't want to pay what arbitration would've awarded him much less what he was asking for ( which isn't even that much ) . That just make absolutely no sense.

Well gotta spend that saved Capspace from Ghost for another similar defenseman who will soon be in AV's doghouse

That’s an unparalleled fleecing by Buffalo

Hagg, 13th OV, and a 2nd for f***ing Rasmus Ristolainen.

f*** trading for Jones, move Klingberg for McDavid ++

Nearly 2 days later ... Seattle just looks so pathetic with the decisions they made.

I get that cap space is valuable. They effed up.
