So the Sabres threw a bunch of money at Hall thinking the worst case scenario is the team still sucks and they get a nice haul at the deadline. Instead, they paid a lot of money for very little on the ice or in the trade.

Hall had a NMC . Not sure he waived that to come here with where the Stars currently sit .

The NMC considerably lowered Halls price ( combined with his poor play and his pricetag )
