I don't remember it being a true question, might be wrong though.
It was at the start of the season at the very least. After Galchenyuk got a major knee injury and Yakupov had an excellent U18 and U20 it got clearer. The consensus was always that Yakupov was a pretty weak 1st OV though.

There's some intriguing offensive centers and wingers in the draft, most will require development.. hopefully we nab one.

Yeah Michkov is on another level, the way he executes at speed is something else.

I've got no problem picking a dman with our 1st. We need high end talent everywhere even though we have considerably more depth on the backend.

This draft is so much better for defensemen

Power, Hughes, Edvinsson, Ceulemans, Hreschuk, Lambos, Chayka, Bolduc, etc

I really don't understand why we picked Guhle
Maybe. But at the end of the day, having good dman prospects in yours hands brings a lot more value than winger, even centerman i would say. So at this point, transactions become a possibility and as a GM you have the edge with the dman

If you agree with the BPA mentality ( which I do, ultimately) then it really doesn't matter if it's strong in a particular position . In any case, we have a hundred picks in this one so we'll probably end up covering most bases.

Maybe because habs management doesn't have a time machine? We have no clue were we are picking next year...

I wouldn't want to draft Luke Hughes. He's a good player and all but I feel like he's a bit overrated because of the name.

I fully expect him to go top 10 FWIW . He's not quite as flashy as his brothers are but he's very smooth, plus he got the size Quinn and Jack never had.

He's not a 2021 eligible but Brad Lambert sure is good already in his D-1 season. I'm salivating at the battle him and Wright are gonna have for the 1st OV in 22 :hyper: Add Savoie, McGroarty, Geekie, Luneau, Devine, etc. Damn !

I love how all-over-the-place the 2021 draft is as it seems we're probably a playoff team this year. The team drafting, say 25th could wind up with the best player in the draft a few years after the fact.
