How is he on the power play? Does he have a big shot?

Seider's lack of shooting ability is greatly exaggerated. You'd think the guy went to the Boyd Devereaux school of how to shoot realgud with the way people talk about him.

Excellent passing and hand-eye coordination to stop clearing attempts, great puck control at the line. His wrist shot is pretty good and he can get it through traffic. It's a "seeing eye" wrister that he's able to keep low and create rebounds with. Slapshot needs work but he's scored a few goals off of it in the SHL.

Your shot is something that can be tweaked and worked on. He has every other skill, including hockey smarts and instincts that you can’t teach, and of course his size and willingness to use it. I really think he will be the most valuable player drafted in 2019

In recent years we've seen data showing that the big slappers rarely work anyway, regardless of if they're shot by D/F. Those smart, low (deflectable) seeing-eye wristers are much more productive. Additionally, even if not purposely deflected, it can still pinball in off of skates/sticks etc. And/or they create rebounds for 3rd & 4th opps. I can see Seider being the trailer (4th man in) or even late man (5th) that taps in far side pass-shots. Also, starting the give-n-go's, which he may finish or at the very least be a vital cog.

Exactly, and that brings to mind a goal that Germany deflected off Owen Power's skate today. So many shots get blocked in the modern NHL that being able timing your shot to get it through traffic has become equally important as shot power and shot accuracy.

And for those saying his shot won't score many goals in the NHL, here's a highlight reel of his goals from this season.

It's not an elite shot but it's still pretty good. And we Wings fans have seen worse defensemen score plenty of goals on our team with far worse shots. Weird, weak and flukey goals happen. Mo may never hit 20 goals as an NHL defenseman, but I wouldn't rule out 10-12 per season on average for a guy that will very likely play 24+ minutes a night for hopefully 15+ years.

concerning seiders shot : his hand and fore arm strength is probably under developed and with a few years of training along with physically fully maturing his hand n fore arm strength could become lots better . and at that point imo he shall begin weilding a great wrist shot ...

Goaltending is about preparation. Somebody can have a 110mph howitzer of a shot...but if it's taken from center ice with a 3 second wind up, that's an easy save. Teams with great movement - skating, passing, timely cycling and screens - will be more successful, even with wrist shots and snap shots, than guys that just rely on power. (Which makes me all the sadder that a great one timer is a dying art.)

Now if you have both movement AND power, then so much the better. But it's not like you CAN'T score without a cannon of a shot.

It going to be very hard for Seider in NHL. He needs a mentor and support from teammates. Wish we can get Chara for Seider

Think it's gonna be quite easy and he don't need any kind of mentor really. He plays his own game and does everything right way already.

Sometimes, some kids are just self-studied. We have our diamond in here.
