Andreescu locked at 1 set all, very high quality match. Let’s hope she can pull through.

Denis up a break in the 3rd against Sinner. They split the first two sets.

He is looking to be the 5th (!) Canadian to make the second round.

Raonic, Auger-Aliassime, Andresscu and Marino all winners already.

So all 5 Canadians that played Day 1 advanced. Their RD2 matchups:

Raonic vs Moutet
Shapovalov vs Tomic ( :D )
Auger-Aliassime vs Duckworth

Felix and Denis would meet in the 3rd round :(

Andresscu vs Hsieh
Marino vs Vondrousova

Pospisil and Fernandez play their first round matches on Day 2.

Rublev in straight sets and looking good. I think he has a real shot at getting to the final given his draw and current form.

An off-form Vasek is quick work for Medvedev, 2, 2 and 4.

Really poor start by Andreescu, 4-0 down. Hitting some nice shots but way too many errors.

Bianca and Rebecca are both in trouble.

And they're both out.

Well...that was atrocious. Long time away from the game, a tricky opponent, not overly surprising but still a dismal performance.

Tomic isn't even trying against Denis. He has tape on one leg but he's barely exerting himself.

Djokovic will need at least 4 sets to overcome tiafoe.
Might need 5 at this rate. Had 2 BP’s for a double break now it’s 3-2 on serve with Novak missing everything again. Unreal. Novak has no answers today, he has no clue what to do out there.

I'm sure Nole will pull out this match, but it underscores his general problem catching Roger/Rafa. He's not getting any younger and the competition is getting better.
