The Americans should change their name to Trap Queens. With the AHL video quality and the amount of grab assessments going on, this game gives me 90’s vibes.

Lets be real, this is a team who filtered players back down for the playoffs vs The Devils who didn’t. Not sure you would want Smith but Mercer would murder souls.

This is the Comets vs JJ Peterka. It’s kind of ridiculous but it’s mostly about containing him.

He's been good. Just needs to watch and learn the system more. He's so good he won't see Utica next season.

Russia is a long ways away.

If he starts in NJ moving the puck with the lack of reaction time he has shown here in 3 games he'll physically be destroyed. He didn't increase the speed of his puck movement one iota from game 2 to game 4.

He also failed to show any kind of quickness on his feet as well. His whole game looked like slow motion and was played from behind the goallline to maybe the top of the circle high along the boards. There's a whole lot more ice than that, but he didn't show up much more than that.

To your credit your statement that Dineen wants to win, may sound harsh to those who want the newbies to get their best shot. The playoiffs is not a tryout period. Kevin gave them a chance. Both Halonen and Mukh were given games, but they didn't impress a coach enough to keep penciling them into the lineup permanently. If they can scratch this one out, and the 3rd will be an outright onslaught by the Amerks, we may see both of them again at some point. However, when push comes to shove, chances are they will be wearing suits in the well.

The Comets need to exert some offensive pressure or this one will turn quickly.

Comets look like they did in games 3 and 4. Unable to muster much offensively and struggling in their own zone.

Comets try to take the puck through a guy directly in front of them. there are no danglers here. Either shoot it or pass it before you run out of space and time.

Groleau gets in with speed and shot from the circle and his shot was blocked by an all out slide by an Amerk. Groleau tripped and crashed lengthwise into the boards. Gets on ice attention. Finally up and to the bench.

Comets are pressing and the Amerks are trapping and transitioning.

Nice play by Okhotiuk to shut down a rush by Peterka without his stick and finishing by taking JJ's helmet off.

Comets can't figure out how to penetrate the O-zone. Amerks stacked 2 deep at the blueline.

Minute by minute ticks away as the Comets are clogged up in the neutral zone. The Amerks can do what thew Comets attempted through the second period and struggled with instead of pressing the offense and building a bigger lead.
