For this to work Drouin needs to be on the first line with Suzuki and Caufield. Can you imagine the damage they could do if Drouin has a breakout year?

The 3C position is concerning but Poehling looked like he could step in as 3C during the second half of last season in Laval

Well, no Weber. He's out maybe forever.

Forwards I like; however, we need to trade one of Lehkonen or Byron. We can't have a $3.4m player as 13th forward.

Team looks decent with the Hoffman signing. I'm still concerned about KK. Not a fan so far.

Think Wideman is a jobber as well, don't see him playing much.

Just trade Lehkonen for Dunn, then roll this. It fits under the cap.

Anderson (5.5) – Suzuki (0.9) – Caufield (0.9)
Hoffman (4.5) – Kotkaniemi (2.75) – Toffoli (4.25)
Drouin (5.5) – Poehling (0.9) – Gallagher (6.5)
Byron (3.4) – Evans (0.75) – Armia (3.4)
Paquette (0.95)

Edmundson (3.5) – Petry (6.25)
Chiarot (3.5) – Dunn (2.8)
Romanov (0.8) – Savard (3.5)
Kulak (1.8), Wideman (0.75)

Price (10.5)
Allen (2.8)

Alzner/overage: 2.5

I also think that Norlinder has a chance this year... Rather develop him than bring back Gustavsson.

Jesus there’s a lot of wingers to slot, gotta love that you’ve got 6 guys who alone could score 20+

Toffoli - Suzuki - Caufield
Drouin - Kotkaniemi - Anderson
Hoffman - Poehling - Gallagher
Armia - Evan’s - lehk
Byron paquette

Considering how our Center position has looked over the years and assuming Drouin can regain his form is this not the deepest forward crew we’ve had in a generation?

Also with the rumours Perry could come back I have to wonder if they’re is some truth to the rumour of trading KK + lehk + some other assets for eichel

Is there a place where we can see the updated projected lineups along with a depth chart in each position?

That forward group looks load on the left side and too expensive of a 4th line

As of right now Im thinking of putting Drouin back to center.

Bergervin has no vision.

Signing Armia to a 3.4M contract to play on the 4th line as of right now. (Byron on 4th line also)

Anderson - Suzuki - Caufield
Toffoli - Drouin/Kotkaniemi - Gallagher
Hoffman - Kotkaniemi/Drouin - Armia
Poehling/Lekhonen - Evans - Byron
Paquette

I'm thinking too that there should be other signings/trades this week; otherwise the lineup has some issues

I had proposed this has a joke in another thread: having Drouin convert back to center. In reality, he is clearly not a center. Can't handle the responsabilites. So, no, hell no.

I’d have the same line combos, but it’s not quite right. Drouin seems to be redundant now and doesn’t seem like a fit for evans and Anderson on the 3rd line.

Too many wingers who have to be “well surrounded”, as Dom would say.

they need better center depth as well.

Toffoli-Suzuki-Caufield
Hoffman-Strome/Krejci-Anderson
Byron-KK-Gallagher
Lehkonen-Evans-Armia

Uhmmm, I've never thought of that, but it seems that Drouin struggled a lot when he played C in his first season with us. Beside that season, I think that he has never played C, not even in the Junior. However, I really wish Drouin at C works out; that would solve one of our big problems now.

On paper the forward group is pretty good however there has to be a concern about whether they can get the puck in transition with speed. The lack of PMD is going to hurt unless Romanov can take a big step in his development. This will be compounded if Price misses any time to injury since he so often buys his defencemen time and space.

So I'm a little worried we will struggle offensively because we'll spend too much time in our own zone.

I wouldn't put Drouin on that line because they already have Suzuki in that role and I'd rather have him on a line with another shooter and leave Anderson there to add more size and speed to create more space for Zuki and CC. I'd go with:

Anderson Suzuki CC - Looked great in the POs
Drouin KK Toffoli - KK assisted on most of Toffoli's goals last year
Hoffman Evans Gally - Looks more like the Tatar Danault Gally line
Lehkonen Poehling Armia - Good 3rd line talent that matches up well against other teams 4th lines

I think those lines are better balanced and mimic the composition that was successful for us and better match stylistically for the players. All lines have snipers, playmakers and shit disturbers.

13m on the third line. lol

But you're only spending 7.3M on the top line and to be honest i'd rather see Toff instead of Anderson so it could be as low as 6.3, which is less than Gally's cap. This is the reality of our team at the moment. We're going to be "overspending" on our middle 6 because our top offence-minded players are either making less than 6 (closer to 4 for Toff and Hoffman) and 900K.

Toffoli had 28 goals last season.

KK assisted on 2 of them.
I'm sure I heard during the playoffs that KK had more assists than any other center and they played on the same line when Toffoli was lighting up the Nucks. I'd be curious to see where can we look this up.
