The only way to accurately scout is to look for the best names and start from there:

  • Primo Self
  • Jean-Luc Foudy
  • Hugo Styf
  • Ethan Szmagaj
  • Ozzy Wiesblatt (wait, wait, his siblings names are Ocean, Orca, and Oasiz. Imagine how unbearable those parents are jfc)
  • Fabio Iacobo
  • Aidan De La Gorgendiere

Congratulations, Jan Mysak. You made the list.

Mock draft...obviously done awhile ago when we were 7th in the league but just published today:

24. Philadelphia Flyers: Mavrik Bourque, C, Shawinigan (QMJHL)

A playmaking center who hasn’t had the benefit of premier linemates, Bourque is one of the QMJHL’s top scorers and has served as a power-play specialist for Shawinigan. There’s a lot of trickery to his game, and the Flyers can afford to roll the dice on a kid with the potential to be a big point producer in the NHL.

NHL Mock Draft 2020: Ottawa Senators select phenoms Alexis Lafreniere, Marco Rossi; LA Kings get goalie of future

And since we are now out of the playoffs and would pick 15:

15. Tampa Bay Lightning: Connor Zary, C, Kamloops (WHL)

Drafting out of the WHL is something the Bolts have done in the first round in three of the last four years, but a tough-yet-skilled forward like Zary would fit their mold regardless of the league he played in. Kamloops has one of the WHL’s top power plays and penalty kills, and Zary is a big reason why.

Jan Mysak is my dude for this draft. He’s going to open a lot of eyes now that he’s playing in North America

Surprised Askarov wasn’t dropped. Mysak 61st???
Craig has been driving the Askarov bus for 1.5 years now.

It's a great year to have a top 10 pick. Could be like 2017. Consensus top two with someone emerging as the best behind them. I could see it being Stutzle. He just looks like such a multi-dimensional offensive force. Like Jack Hughes (pre-NJ :sarcasm:). Entry machine + PP QB. Lafreniere is going to be a 1st line winger pretty quickly. But a non-elite skating winger, how much of an impact will he truly make? Byfield is nearly a year younger and has maybe the best age and league adjusted production in the draft. Rossi is shredding the OHL and could be in the NHL next year. I'm probably lower on Perfetti, but his production is excellent. Drysdale is going to go high if for no other reason than he's a cut above the rest of the defensemen. Raymond is flying under the radar.

I didn't realize that Ottawa has two 1sts and three 2nds, and as of the publication of the mock I saw they have the #3 and #6OA in the first, depending on the lottery of course.

Who are people’s favorite forward and defense prospects who will likely be either 1st or 2nd RD picks in this draft? I’ve been primarily watching Flyers prospects this season and I haven’t been able to watch nearly as many draft eligible prospects as I have in past years.

I’m really liking what I’m seeing out of Lukas Cormier (LHD) from my viewings this season. Great edgework, pivots, crossovers, and he’s very fast. Fantastic passer too and makes a lot of stops with his feet and via stickwork.

I would like you to take a look at Lukas Reichel, Anton Lundell and Simon Knak and tell me what I should think, please and thank you.
