At this point I’m just praying Hall takes a long term deal to make me assume we couldn’t get him. If he’s willing to take a one year deal with us but our play was trading an asset for Brandon Saad instead that’s a massive failure.

I would guess that Sakic would be open to a longer-term solution if it's the right young RHD. Could always do a 2 year bridge deal with Cernak/Weegar as well, and then trade them later if needed.
