Really upset that Ottawa took this player before our pick because I wanted to see if McCrimmon would still have selected our guy over the Wheat King.

I really don’t see how he could have selected a more popular pick than this kid with the hometown crowd. In Vegas, a kid that grew up playing hockey in Los Angeles is about as local as you can get.

I love the pick and hope he stays 2 years in Michigan. I think it’s a great place for him to develop.

He's a "freshman" this season. I don't know that NCAA hockey will play this season; some rumblings there might be a partial season in the spring. No one is currently playing it seems.

It really depends on his development -- on and off the ice. Working out in the gym and bulking up is important as is working on playing better (and more "men" than "boys"). And how he handles college life, being away from family, etc.
