haha, they talk about Davies all game on the DAZN feed, then say he's from Vancouver, not Edmonton (I know he came from Vancouver Whitecaps but he's from Edmonton via Ghana).

BTW who was the guy who said Alaba was the best CB on the pitch?
He was the worst of the 6 that played.

He's a good player but not a CB, it's honestly a miracle how few goals they managed to give up but everyone around him is so good.

Then and there
Not sure what Icardi has done/hasn't done to Tuchel/in training, but it was weird that he sat out all the time. Pre-break he played regularly in the league and in Europe.

I mean the club just paid the 50 million option for him. How do you motivate / start anew between him and Tuchel for the next season. Even if the lightning stroke once with Choupo-Mouting, it was foolish to count on that happening again.

Why Icardi didn't play will now be a mystery.
Tuchel's substitutions, except for the Bernat/Kurzawa one (due to injury) were all bad. Verratti came way too late, and Choupo and Draxler instead of Icardi.
As Savi pointed out, with Icardi that last chance is a goal.
Bayern had a total of 3 chances, scored 1 (Lewa X2, Coman).
PSG had 4 (Neymar early, Di Maria over the bar, Mbappe sitter, Choupo at the 90th), scored none. And you keep one of the deadliest striker in the world on the bench to put Draxler and Choupo.
Even worse, PSG used a 4-2-4 most of the season with both Icardi and Mbappe up front. You're down 1-0 in a CL final playing a 4-3-3, shouldn't you AT LEAST try it?

Tuchel had it all wrong in the game management here.

I don’t see how someone could deny thst at minimum they have a legitimate argument.

11-0-0 record
44-8 goal for/against
They scored 20 goals in 5 knockout stage games ffs
Strength of opponents maybe? Barcelona was very weak this year, Lyon were a surprise 1/2 finalist, PSG had played 2-3 meaningful games in 5 months and their 2 stars didn't show up.

They have a tremendous team like many had before Barcelona Ac Milan Ajax and teams had far more impressive runs.

Also no home\away takes away a lot of the luster.

And this could be a legit argument against them. I didn’t label them the best, just said they had at minimum a legitimate argument if their own.

Just looking at goals vs. and against is not a good argument.

Did anyone else think Tuchel had a miserable game? Thought the tactics were all wrong, especially in the 2nd half

Huh? Barca, Chelsea, Hotspur all demolished. Not sure how they are meant to play harder opponents, they played all of the winners. Says more about PSG's opponents that they won while only playing "2-3 meaningful games". Not Bayern's fault there were plenty of chokes against RB and Lyon

Barca were bad this year. Hostspur were EPL MIDTABLE and Chelsea was ok at best. That's like Federer winning a slam by beating Ferrer Berdych and Roddick...

Alone, no. But combined with their record, the ease with which they breezes through the tournament and measuring how close anyone came to threatening them, it is.

It was a special year and a lot of the usual giants were not in great form. That's not their problem ok but then how can you judge a team strength correctly if they play "lesser" teams?

Those of you who watch football regularly tell me as during the last World Cup they said about Mbabbe that he's going to be the next Messi-like superstar has he been worth of that praise during the past two years?
