f*** me we need to get this guy a cup, he has given his heart and soul to the Avs through some terrible years. I hope next season he can come back and play at a steady bottom pair level at the very least and that he isn’t completely done.

It might sound crazy, but I would look into load management for him. He’s never going to be an Ironman, but if we can get him into playoffs at 90% health I think he’s a huge boost to the lineup.

hooooooooolly shit. So many thoughts about Minny right now.

f*** they're getting Eichel aren't they...

Also Suter on the market could be a good short term pickup for someone.

Minnesota is about to make a lot of bad decisions just to get beat by Colorado for the next 4-5 years in the postseason.

Reminds me of the Broncos trying to be competitive while Mahomes exists.

I wouldn’t mind take a short term low salary flyer on both players tbh. Parise has been an absolute Avs killer and while unreliable health wise he could provide a huge boost to the 3rd line.

Gotta think this is a play to go all in these next two years, probably trading for Eichel sort of thing.

But in 2 years time they are gonna be f***ed. 15M in dead cap. While the rest of the league plays on an 82M salary cap they will have just 67M to work with.

I wonder if they've accepted fate with Kaprizov not willing to sign long term, and instead they are just going to go 100% all in these next two years then trade Kaprizov for whatever monster return they can get, and tank those two years after.

Reading rumors about Eichel being the reason for these buyouts, since it clears $10mil in cap this season.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand that at all? You get Eichel, sure, but then in 2022-2023 you have $13mil in dead cap, then the following two seasons you have $15mil in dead cap. By that time, Eichel's contract will have one year remaining. Do you really think he's going to stay after playing on a team that's $15mil under the cap hahaha

Stupid.
