It was an unreal pass but one has to think it is a set play. If it isn't, it is a terrific offensive read by Mukhamadullin by breaking towards the net as the other forward drove towards the net.
Even if it was a set play, both players have to make the read to execute it.

Nice.

Side note, I want to change my name to Dick Axelsson.
It’s frustrating to only to be able to give this one like. It’s an outstanding name, part action movie with a hint 70s porn, a delightful retro feel.

11/10. Do it and send in the paper work immediately.

There is some stuff I decide to make for devils community.

I finally watched Zaitsev's game. And made a couple of video recordings. He us number 86, he is left handed LD. He was 12 min 47 sec on the ice. He didn`t play in PP or PK.
Zaitsev is a stay at home D with good skating. He skates back well, squeezes players out of the zone, and knows how to use pokecheck.

He tries to cover dinamo`s back as much as possible, but at the same time he has a good starting speed, and in general he skates quite fast.

He tries to play simply, gives short passes. He makes passes like this on the video. Short, and i cant call them smart and safe enough for time to time.

he made only one long pass, that was interesting and smart, but he left the time and opponent read it and make a goal.

Otherwise, he played quite clean and created problems for the opposing players.

He skates better than Butcher, Subban and Carrick, and that's half of our defense. He can hit, he is good in puck challenge. He has something to work on, he needs to learn to think faster with the puck. Judging by the uncertainty with the puck, his puckmoving ability, he will need two more years in the KHL or AHL to really qualify for the NHL.

Thanks for that evaluation. Hopefully he continues to improve and he ends up with NJ.

He could have trade value. This is still an option for him and for us. He is LD and we have plenty of them.

Misyul is next on my list. He is a harder target to track because he play 4-8 min per game. If he even play. KHL is tough league for juniors.

Looking for some info on players who made their debut last season...

Nikita Gusev
Jesper Boqvist
Gilles Senn

What kind of players are they and what is their future projection for the NHL?

Thanks!

I'm not sure you can call Gusev a prospect. He is older and would have played a full season had there been one. He is probably the best offensive player on NJ right now until one or both of Hischier and Hughes develop a bit more. His contract is up after next season so his long term future is uncertain. Boquist is highly skilled but young and a bit of a perimeter player at present to my eyes. He can certainly develop and become a top six wing. Senn was allegedly playing very well down the stretch according to Binghamton watchers. Hard to say any goalie will or will not develop to become an NHL goalie.

I’m sure hope they picked up on Gusev on not being a prospect because he’s 28.

You’re about right about Boqvist, the scouting report at the 2017 draft was that he needed a couple of years to get stronger to handle the physical game required in the NHL. It was always assumed he needed time so hopefully we’ll see more from him this season. (and hopefully we’ll see a season in general.)

Senn played great in the stretch run of last year’s aborted Bing season. It was his rookie pro season in NA but he was an overager in 2017 who was playing in a pro Swiss league. He turned 24 in March so he’s trying to work towards being Blackwood’s back-up after Crawford is gone unless he’s traded obviously. I can see Senn getting a couple of years in as a NHL back-up if it really works out for him, he’s pretty good.
