Lankinen at a crossroads. Is he going to be an NHL goaltender, or is he a Blaine Lacher/Jim Carey?

All we can say is he hasn't shown enough for Hawks to go into another season with no viable alternative

Lankinen has shown enough to be in mix for #1 job but we need a vet who can be a 1B option

UFA market this offseason has some interesting names

Philipp Grubauer
Mike Smith
James Reimer
Tuukka Rask
Frederick Anderson
Chris Dreidger
Jonathan Bernier
Jaroslav Halak

Pekka Rinne
Linus Ullmark

Bolded =
Guys I would chase who I think are realistic targets as guys like Rask and Grubauer likely dont leave teams they are with

Why would the Sabres not bring back Ullmark? To the rest of that list.....vomit.

It would be amazing if the Kraken took like a ton of goalies and cornered the market on them like when someone corners the market on sheep in Settlers of Catan.

Bernier has been respectable behind horrid Wing teams last two seasons

15-22-3 with 2.95 GAA and .907 sv pct in 19-20
9-11-1 with 2.99 GAA and .914 sv pct this season

Would be good partner in a 1A/1B situation with Lankinen

1987-88 Darren Pang,g
1990-91 Ed Belfour,g
1991-92 Dominik Hasek,g
1995-96 Eric Daze,f
2002-03 Tyler Arnason,f
2007-08 Patrick Kane,f and Jonathan Toews, f

So none of our group rookies made it onto the allrookie team this year, Pius Suter was 11th, Kevin Lankinen was 13th and Brandon Hagel was 18th in voting for rookie of the year.
