Remember when we had a few guys get the virus during training camp and everyone was like "f***ING TAMPA! OF COURSE FLORIDA WOULD SCREW THIS UP!" Meanwhile Dallas and Carolina have cost us actual games and it's just crickets (not that they deserve grief either).

Why did we resign Rutta instead of a vet LHD? We have Hedman-Sergachev McD-Cernak X-Foote/Rutta/Shenn. Is Borgman the X, or is Sergachev banished to the 3rd pair to babysit, and Hedman has to cover for Rutta.

Because Sergachev on the right never worked and they just won a cup with those 3 on the left playing 20mins a night?

Although it looks like a bad signing based on his play so far, it is early. Rutta was quite responsible and solid with Hedman before his injury last season. In hindsight, maybe Tampa should’ve thrown his 1.3 to the ~2 million they offered Shattenkirk to try and entice him to stay, but can now only hope that Rutta gets back on track sooner rather than later.

dont forget that Rutta missed training camp,i think this is one of the reasons of his bad perfomance. But he really plays bad

Carolina has to get their shit together!!! Not liking these weeks between games. It's good for our current injuries, but Tampa has been notorious for having awful starts after long stretches of days off

How come Washington is playing with 4 guys on their Covid list but Carolina isn't? Thought they had a similar outbreak not one like Dallas?

Then I have no idea why the league is letting Washington play and not making Carolina play short.
Must be a situational issue, I dont know if its cause Carolina had to shut everything down to be safe with everyone and the Caps only had those 3-4 players that were with Samsonov, But thats my guess as why the Caps are playing short. Regardless, its the NHL and who knows what goes on behind the scenes with this corona stuff now, should have stuck to the bubble system and we probably wouldnt have this many issues
