League dictates that the taxi squad must have at least 4 players on it at all times. When Brown and Kelly came off, two others needed to come up.

We still need a taxi squad even though our season is completely over?

You'd think they'd want Thomson finishing the season for Belleville. If they need bodies on the taxi squad I figured they'd use guys like Kopacka and Magwood

NVM, didnt realize these moves were yesterday

Was only a paper transaction, needed a full Taxi for yesterdays game. Belleville and Ottawa were both in Ottawa for these games, he'll be on the ice tonight.

Good to hear, I wasn't sure if you could play in the AHL while being "on" the taxi squad

Too bad no playoffs. B-Sens dominated number 1 rank Laval in stretches few games ago and made a great comeback against tenth place and hottest team in AHL the Moose. Now they could have full lineup firing on all cylinders. Woulda been awesome to see them do their magic. Boys are 7-3 in last 10.

Potential line-ups for the final 5-game homestand:

Abramov-L.Brown-Sokolov
Crookshank-Greig-Kelly
Jarventie-Kastelic-Shaw
Reinhardt-Peca-Beaudin

Cassels/LaBate

Aspirot-Williams
Labrie-Thomson
Alsing-Dougherty

Goloubef/LeBlanc

Gustavsson
Sogaard

IMHO, this is by far the best line-up for the B-Sens this season - even without Brannstrom and Formenton.

Sokolov will be with Greig's line and Shaw with Brown's line. Kelly with Kaestlic. Nonetheless, a deep 4 line forward group.

Surprised they didnt send JBD down.

Both he and Pinto were required to be on the BSens line-up before the roster cut-off to be eligible. Neither of them play with BSens to finish the year.

They should have papered them on to the roster for this exact reason but chose not to...maybe part of the negotiation.

The Belleville Sens will have Mads Sogaard in goal tonight, backed up by Kevin Mandolese.
Vitaly Abramov, JC Beaudin, Cole Cassels, Jonathan Davidsson, Curtis Douglas, Brandon Fortunato, Jack Kopacka, Olivier LeBlanc and Zach Magwood are out for Belleville.
Previous History:
The Belleville Senators continue a four game set against Manitoba Moose tonight, after meeting them seven times so far this season. The Sens are 2-4-1-0 against the Moose after Tuesday night’s shootout win, and overall sitting in 3rd place in the Canadian Division with 29 points.
Who to Watch:
Parker Kelly made his NHL debut (and scored his first NHL goal) with the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday evening, and returns to the ice for Belleville tonight. Egor Sokolov continues leading Belleville in points, with 21 (14 goals) in 30 games played.

All the guys out are just the guys who are not in the plans for the team, or AHL team, moving forward.

Abramov is the only real pro prospect of the bunch, and he is heading overseas.

IDK, Douglas could potentially move into a prospect category. He's fully in the "AHL only" grouping right now, but maybe in the future he may turn into something more.

His contract is playing a big role as to why he is out of the lineup. From a play perspective he has outperformed many of the AHL veterans and some of the prospects. His plus/minus is near the top of the team and his points per game is better than a lot of players. He generates high quality scoring chances every game and could easily have more points. Even in the last game he played he wasn't awarded an assist on the first goal but played a major role in creating the scoring opportunity.

He is fully deserving of an ELC and should receive one at the end of the season.

I’d be surprised, barely have enough room for our own prospects, don’t think we will add a guy outside our scope who doesn’t really bring anything other than intriguing size.

Right, that's why I said he'd be an AHL contract guy now but he looked intriguing and possibly could develop into a guy we sign to an ELC. The tools are there it seems like, and who knows what prospects will be there in a year or two. For example I don't have a lot of hope for someone like Lodin (once he signs).
