Centers are overrated and overpaid. Load up on the wings, and load up on the defense. Find good, responsible, reliable cost-efficient centers.

Ok, I see what you're saying. I agree with you. Right now the Wild have enough young assets that they should be able to be a player the next time a center comes availableQuality, yes. I'm just not sure it has to be the quality that a lot of Wild fans are pining for.

First line center on his beer league team, still holding it down.
Guy had a 10+ year career as a professional hockey player with a good taste of the NHL. Trying to get kicks outta him on an online message board isn't a good look.

St. Louis just did itWinning a Stanley Cup without at least one top tier center is a longshot.

IMO- "top tier" can't go too far past top 10 at the position. O'Reilly isn't that.Whatever his career was before it, O'Reilly was definitely a top tier center last season. Unless "top tier" is supposed to mean the McDavid/Crosby/MacKinnon level or something.

15th in center scoring + a Selke win. I think the defense is probably enough to make up the 3 point difference between he and Seguin, the 5 point difference between he and Eichel and Monahan. He was the 15th best center last season at absolute worst, and I think the more correct spot would be in the 10-12 range.
