very trueIt's what happens when you have a guy more suited for a depth winger position playing 1C.

I wish I could like this more than onceGood grief, Brad, go take advantage of Fenton hardcore. Staal for a song.
Staal has a 10 team no-trade list and I'd bet Bill Peters and Calgary are at the top of the listGood grief, Brad, go take advantage of Fenton hardcore. Staal for a song.
Imo someone would pay a similar package for Dubnyk at full price. That being said, I’d have a real hard time hitching our wagon to another aging goalieDubnyk (50% retained) for 1st, Smith + Lazar
Hopefully working on bringing in better upgrades than Coyle.I cannot believe Coyle went that cheap, where the **** was Tre?
Eh, I wanted Coyle too but I wouldn't blame Fenton if he wanted to not help out a Western rival. Granted, I think we could have put together some better than Donato + 5th but you can only control so much.I cannot believe Coyle went that cheap, where the **** was Tre?

I'd love to add KreiderYou know who would be a good add. Chris Kreider.
There are few true buyers this year. Winnipeg and Nashville are fighting for pieces of the 2 largest. Panarin is anybodies guess and Bob has done nothing to help his or Columbus' situation out. Toronto and Tampa are looking at a couple of d-men and other than that it leaves the Flames and Sharks which neither appears to be big on the trade chatter. St Louis could be a surprise darkhorse in the big fish hunting with how hot they are.It was a very modest price. However this tells me Tre is likely setting his sights on better targets.
And of all the teams you mentioned, only the Flames, Jets and Predstor have 1st round picks they can move (in '19)There are few true buyers this year. Where is he going to play? The 2nd line either has Frolik or Tkachuck on it and the third line is Bennett? (And this line has been on fire since the addition of Lindholm.) Do you think Tre is going to get Krieder for the 4th line?I'd love to add Kreider
