One can only only hope, especially when they add Trout for 40 plus in a couple seasons.
Or Betts.

Pete Rose has a valid point for once
Think Pete Rose has something to say about baseball jumping in bed with gamblers? You bet he does
"I guess what it comes down to is baseball is now in bed with the same people who got me kicked out of the game," Rose said. "They can say what they want but this is all about money. You're telling me the managers have to submit their lineups to the league office so the casino can set the lines on the games? What happens if right before game time your starting pitcher has a cramp and has to be scratched? Is the manager gonna get blamed for that ... for screwing up the line?"
Regardless of how MLB chooses to spin this — as a practical move on their part, brought about by a Supreme Court decision that was out of their control — Rose would be justified in saying they are hypocrites for cashing in on gambling while still keeping him out of the game and ineligible for the Hall of Fame because he bet on baseball. Now everyone can be betting on baseball and you can forget about those "No Betting" signs that used to adorn every ballpark
Or both. I remember feeling irritated and annoyed as a fan watching with both of those things and I don't follow either team. Some interesting rule changes got passed
Rosters expand from 25 to 26. The September call-ups are over though for the most part, rosters after September 1st (and apparently through the playoffs if I'm reading right) have been lowered from 40 to 28.
Pitchers have to face three batters before exiting. I'm not a fan of that one because I think it changes the strategy of the game. I wonder if that was prompted by Joe Maddon switching pitchers 5 times an inning or if it was what the Brewers did in starting Wade Miley for one batter in the playoffs to trick Roberts into putting out a right-handed lineup.
And right on cue Maddon is complaining about it.Some interesting rule changes got passed

Also, this is great. Probably the most Boston thing ever.

I doubt it, but it also is one of the quirks that make that park so unique.Would people be mad if they ever tried to get rid of the obstructed view seats at Fenway.
