After three starts in which his save percentage was below .900 (and one of those below .800), Arturs Silovs stopped 40 of 42 shots tonight for Barrie, in a 3-2 win. Perhaps he'll take the net as the regular starter now.

I wonder when Madden signs, and how much time he'll actually need in Utica? Clearly a top-end offensive talent the Canucks basically stole in the third round.

Silovs is in goal again tonight for Barrie, so it looks like he's won the starter's role for now, unless there's something else going on -- such as a minor injury to the guy he's been alternating with.

looking forward to rathbone's season starting. i would really like to see what he can do as a sophomore and out of fox's shadow. if there is one prospect i've had a hunch about from day one it is him.

Rathbone might get stuck in Reilly Walsh's shadow.

maybe. i see them as more mutually complimentary though. fox dominated the team as a 48 pt dman junior. rathbone and walsh are actually the same age, although walsh has played an extra season of ncaa.

Linus Karlsson is off to a great start in Sweden’s 2nd division. 3 goals and 3 assists in 14 games so far and let’s not forget he only had 9 points in 52 games last season. Looking like we salvaged the Dahlen trade after all

Way too early to tell - most likely will end up being a nothing for nothing trade

I know nothing about Harvard's defense pairings and my comment was based on hockey db stats. I join you in hoping that Rathbone has a breakout season.

Let’s have some pain in him let’s not forget the kid is only 19 and he’s already showed dramatic improvement in only 14 games and is 4 points shy on eclipsing his total from last season. That’s pretty good improvement if you ask me and has me optimistic ! Let’s see how the rest of the season goes before we call it nothing for nothing trade

I love the optimism but don't forget Mr Dahlen scored back to back PPG years in allsvenkan at ages 19 and 20.

Not true, he had 18 points last year, which was a 0.35ppg pace, whereas he's at 0.43ppg this year. Not a huge improvement so far.
