the nats getting to the WS without harper is the best thing ever

reminds me of the 01 mariners winning 116 games without a-rod but the nats are taking it to another level

Still think Nats are gonna be in trouble with the long layoff barring the Yankees or Astros winning the next 3 in a row which I highly doubt happens

Two runs in 27 innings. LOL. I mean, Nats have amazing rotation but...

Take care of the here and now. Finish off STL ASAP, don't be so obsessed with layoffs.

Breaking news:

The Cardinals offense sucks
I know. I mean, they have 4 players with OPS+ over 100:
Edman (120)
Goldy (113)
Ozuna (108)
Wong (106)

Amazing defense though. At least in the regular season. Elite starter in Flaherty and some average starters like Mikolas and Waino. Good pen, too.

I don’t see the Nats beating either AL team regardless. I think their bullpen will be exposed against both because they have such potent offenses. They would need 3 games where Strasburg and Scherzer went 8 or 9 innings. They’d definitely have a better shot vs the Yankees I believe because I would feel more confident they could hit their starters

The Cardinals offense has pretty much sucked all year, save for a couple of outbursts, so this isn't all that shocking.

They win games by run prevention and good/smart base running. That can only take you so far and honestly most of us in St. Louis are surprised they made it all the way to NLCS with this offense.
