Figure this is thread to use for ex-NFL player news as well

Had 1 INT in his 2 yr career with Bengals

Came against Texans in 2003

David Carr was QB he picked off

Miami is just under a .500 team since 2013 though, so not awful bad by any means.
They look like a much worse 0-3 win trainwreck team right now. Not a damn chance they win Sunday.

Should have lost last year if it was not for that fluke play at the end.

I understood the Tunsil trade because of all the picks they were getting and his next contract but this one makes no sense. He was just the 11th overall pick last year and is someone who could've been a part of the rebuild.

It’s a rebuild year and you’re not playing a 2nd year secondary defender over a couple of guys who aren’t going to be around in 2 years? My goodness....

Another user pointed out that Tunsil's next contract won't be that much more than what he makes now, or will make in his 5th year. Think it 13 or 14 million, at contract time is he really going to get more than an extra 2 or 3?

Is it unrealistic to believe that Briggs + Kreutz could both someday make HOF?

I think both can make case they were among elite at positions for era they played

If I had to pick 5 from this list, I'd go Shaun Alexander, Polamalu, Faneca, Seymour or Harrison and probably Torry Holt ... thats off the top of my head.

The better quality player that you are, along with being on a playoff team you’re unlikely to play on the 5th year option.

If Tunsil demands a new deal in the off season, the Texans have to pay the man. Gave up too much to get him and the OL is the weakest part of the roster.

Right but even his new contract won't be a ton of more money per year. He's already making close to what top OL make.

Concerning to say the least considering Minkah is coming off probably his worst game at any level of football

His 5th year option is just over $10M and his next contract will probably be closer to $20M/yr if he becomes the highest paid LT, like some people expect him to. They would've been fine paying him that much because their next QB will be on his rookie deal but I can also see the other side of it.

Because Viking fans don't suffer enough:

Keenum through 2 games in Washington; 601 yards, 69.1 completion rate, 5 TD, 0 INT, 8.6 YPA

Cousins through 2 games in Minnesota this year: 328 yards, 52.4 completion rate, 2 TD, 2 INT, 7.6 YPA

Ugly to say the least. Would be way more heat if the Vikings lost to Atlanta last week

Sick signing Minnesota  :naughty:

41 years after Tarkenton retired, still haven't been a find a QB that fits long term.
