Quite fluid right now, but here are teams that appear to be over the $81.5 million cap right now:

NYR: $88.72 million
VAN: $85.96 million
VGK: $85.43 million
PIT: $83.52 million

NAS, FLA, DAL getting close.
TOR has about $10.8 to sign Marner
TB has about $11.4 to sign Point

Note - Existing salary figures from Cap Friendly. This assumes all of today's free agents are signed at reported amounts and remaining RFA's are signed as predicted by Evolving Hockey's free agent predictions. It also assumes expected LTIR candidates are placed on LTIR before season (Horton, Clarkson, etc)

Hmm. My look at Capfriendly shows:

NYR - $72,730,609, over $8.5M available
VAN - same general numbers
VGK - $84+Mil, over cap
PIT - $79.9Mil, 1.5M available

The Cap Friendly figures have $0 for RFAs.

+ Lemieux…...............+ 0.9 m (RFA)

All of the salary figures are from Cap Friendly and remaining RFA projections from Evolving Hockey. (Note, Cap Friendly totals do not include unsigned RFAs). Bold are currently projected to be above the cap.

Note -
(1) Aho is still included with projected RFA figure for Carolina, so if they match, overall number goes down by $1.4 million.

Nice work. Still a few decent UFAs and tons of RFAs. The difference in the cap only rising to 81.5 instead of ~83 will almost entirely come out of the pockets of Marner, Tkachuk, Boeser, Rantanen etc. Not that I expect their agents to stop posturing for $10,000,000 AAV offer sheets that aren't coming.

Was under contract to Vegas last season

That gives Tampa: Vasilevsky, Domingue, McElhinney, Wedgewood, Martin and now Fucale for goalies in the system this season

Pulling for Gaunce to do well in Boston. Likeable guy, can play W & C. But foot-speed isn't great & won't bring any offense.

On the other-hand, for the sake of Blues fans, hopefully Pouliot stays in the AHL all season.
