I find it amusing that there are a bunch of people complaining about VAR when the abhorrent reffing has been much worse for so long.
Not even close. The last few years VAR has been at the center of countless controversies and awful errors while completely killing the flow of the game.

Referees don't want to make any calls anymore they are so ridiculously bad it's like if you put school administrators in the classes as teachers. They don't know what to do only wait for the replay.

Soon we will be under 60min. of actual play in the 90min. They NEVER put the wasted time for VAR back in the added time NEVER close.

How many incredible errors with VAR in the last World Cup, Champions League and just now after a few games in the Women World Cup, a ton of them.

16 teams would have been enough but the corrupt FIFA love the money too much. So far it's 30-4 for the "good" teams vs. the weaker teams.

I love announcers trying to justify things.

"Well actually the US is showing *more* respect to Thailand by running up the score"

They're running up the score because they're dramatically better at every single position and it's a competitive match, respect has nothing to do with it.

Seems like a lot of people are pretty turned off by the US team's celebrations given the score and opponent. Lacking in class and such.

People should be mad at FIFA for having 24 teams when clearly 16 would have been perfect.

At least the game was fun, we had great goals, much better than 1-0 games with one team only defending and the other happy with the one goal lead.

For the most part the players on the field were alright. Rapinoe seemed to think they were winning the tourney with every goal, Morgan's 5th got a little more emotion, Pugh's first did, so did Lloyd's, but nothing too crazy.

It was mostly the bench that was going nuts.
