Looks like an overage Russian goalie who put up exceptional numbers in the KHL. Don't know much about him tbh
Went 64 in our mock draft.
KHL rookie of the year appearantly, last KHL goalie to do so was Andrei Vasilevsky
An older goalie prospect isn't a bad idea.
just found a vid on youtube of him
You never know with goalies but he had a very good season in the KHL. Posted ten shutouts and showed massive improvement
I wonder if he will take over the starting role from Koskinen by the end of next season
I don't completely hate the pick, overager but might be closer as result? Had pretty decent numbers in the KHL.
Torn on this one. He’s very talented and won the KHL rookie of the year, but he’s also a double overager and very small by NHL standards. We also have roughly a billion prospect goalies. Ah well.
Don't know anything about him but those are some insane numbers.
So... 2 years left on his KHL deal.
Solid pick, still has 2 years left on khl contact
A familiar face will be coaching Lokomotiv...
Was hoping for Ethen Keppen, maybe we still get him at 100?
When is his khl contract up could he be a 1b this season or next after numbers like that in the khl.
I dont actually get this pick. We have Starret, Skinner and Rodrigue. That reasonable goalie depth already. I guess Konovalov can continue to light it up in KHL, wont actually take up a spot in Bakersfield... but you'd think we could get more depth elsewhere.
While I guess his stats are good enough for a 3rd, decent upside, I just dont know how we're gonna be able to give them all a fair shot at NHL.
2 more years apparantly
love his stats....older pick at 20
but who knows with goalies
First eligible in 2016. 3 straight years of a G, a D and an F with the first 3 picks.
He will be our starter in 5 years.
Somebody should tell Neilson about the massive age difference between Koskinen and Konovalov.
For comparison purposes it matters.
Who was the last notable "small" goalie in the NHL?
Separate names with a comma.
