Actually Arvidsson was in his 20/21 yr old season when he broke out. Hoglander is 18 turning 19, but will only be entering his 19/20 yr old season next year. He would be almost 2 years (1yr, 8 months) behind when Arvidsson broke out.
Another way to look at it is if Arvidsson was drafted the 1st year he was eligible, Arvidsson wouldn't break out until his D+3 year. Hoglander is only in his D+1 year right now. Hoglander is old for his draft year, born in late 2000 vs 2001 like most of his draft class.
Ohhh.. thanks for diving into that. In short, that's even better news as I'm still using Arvidsson as his measuring stick. In my (limited) views of Hoglander, he reminds me of him, while also being the same size and in the SHL.
