I turned the Northeastern game off after it was 2-0, hopefully they can put it behind them as these are like playoff games this time of year. I know Harris was on for the 1st goal against but not his fault as he had been in the corner and had his man contained.

Dichow's team has hit the second portion of the J20 SuperElit season.

For those wondering how it works, the J20 SuperElit teams play 45 games in a regular season. There are two divisions, the North and the South. There are 10 teams in each division for a total of 20.

After 27 games, the Top 5 teams of each division form a new division called Top-10. The other 5 teams of each division are put together in a separate division call Fortsättning (meaning Continuation). I believe the second portion of the season starts after the holidays.

They play the remaining 18 games with their new divisional rivals. The 10 teams in the Top-10 division automatically qualify for the playoffs. They play for positioning and home ice advantage the rest of the way. In the Fortsättning division, the top 6 teams qualify for the playoffs. So 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.

All this to explain that Dichow and Malmo are part of the Fortsättning division. They have played 12 games so far and they sit in 2nd place. So they're in a good position to make the playoffs.

They did lose 6-2 earlier, but Dichow wasn't in nets.

So far in the Fortsättning portion of the season, Dichow is 5-2-0 in 7 GP. He's actually played in 9 games as he came in the game after the other goalie was pulled, but he's not credited for the losses. He has a 2.50 GAA and a .901 SV% during this portion of the season. He is 3rd among goalies in Fortsättning.

After the first 27 games, where Malmo plays in the South Division, he finished 12th among goalies in that division. He ended it with a 2.99 GAA and a .883 SV%.

So Gorniak doubled his season production in a weekend?

he's got 4 pts in the last 6 games and 5 in the last 11 after starting with 1 pt in 13 games. He did something similar last year if I recall but this year he has had trouble getting in the lineup or getting more then 4th line minutes.

- McShane scored his 23rd of the year in a 2-1 win over Windsor. He is now at 64 pts in 57 GP.

- Everett is up 3-0 on Portland in the middle of the 2nd period. Fonstad has a goal (14th) and an assist so far. He is now at 68 pts in 53 GP.
Woah who told Fonstad he's allowed to do more than his token assist every game?

watched a little of Romanov today but work was kind of busy so couldn't see more then a 1st. Romanov was a +1 in a 4-1 loss, he was the 6th D in terms of TOI at 13:27, which is the 1st time he's been under 14 mins since returning from the WJC's.

He's a +21 on the season and is a +9 in the last 4 games while being over 15 mins in all but today's game. The last game of the regular season is thru and then the playoffs start.

Khisamutdinov got into a KHL game today, his first one this month and it ended up being a season high TOI with 15:40. He had 4 shots on net. Didn't see the game since it was on a 4 am but good to see him get some playing time.

Any chance he comes over ? I'd like to see him in Laval next year.

Romanov played his final game of the regular season, hope it's the final game of his KHL regular season. He was once again used as the 6th D, had 13:06 TOI.

Ends up 43-0-7-7 +21 14 pims and just under 13 mins TOI ave.

His KHL career to date, 86-1-10-11 +37 26 pims.

Any chance he comes over ? I'd like to see him in Laval next year.

we'll see, he's not under contract anywhere yet, we know MB said at the draft the plan was to bring him over but we don't know if that is still the plan. I could see it though as he isn't getting much ice in the KHL and is too good for the VHL.

What prospects have had good years this year for the Habs?

Romanov, Caufield and Harris had the best years for the unsigned prospects IMO.

I will add Hillis and Houde (before his injury), particularly Hillis.

RHP is also having a very good year, but he's an overager, so that takes away a bit.

Stapley is also consistent this year.

What prospects have had good years this year for the Habs?

Romanov built on last year and improved his defensive game.

Caufield showed he can score in the NCAA and look as advertised.

Harris took another step, both offensively and defensively.

Hillis had one of the best comeback season's in recent memory. Not only that, he's been improved his game all around.

Fairbrother was looking strong just before his injury. Struble was adjusting and improving game by game and looking a lot more comfortable from his 1st game but then he got injured too.
