Hillis has slowed down a bit, his season has been interesting to say the least.

First 7 games, 7-1-2-3 -1 6 pims (.43 ppg)
Next 38 games, 35-13-37-50 +27 21 pims (1.43 ppg)
Last 16 games, 16-5-11-16 Even 8 pims (1.0 ppg)

Has Guelph moved any players in the last few weeks?

One thing with Caufield... He is pretty dynamic, quick and creative with the puck on his stick, in fact he skates faster with the puck on his stick than without, you rarely see it lol... Also, the puck literally glue on his stick, he is a very good offensive player, a poison in the offensive zone, its only a matter of playing a man game and work on the fundamentals...

Yeah the Ikonen thing sucks, he really needed that development time and the last 2 years have been essentially wasted. He's got a steep mountain to climb now just to get back to where he was prior to all the injury problems. I still hold some hope for the kid because he's got some legit tools to work with but time is starting to be a factor.

So with February almost finished, it means NCAA playoffs are around the corner.

- Wisconsin has 4 more games left (two this weekend and two next weekend). The weekend after that (March 7th-8th), it's the Big-10 playoffs. So if Wisconsin ends up losing in that weekend, Caufield (and Gorniak) would be available to be signed.

- Northeastern have 5 games left before the Hockey East playoffs start on the weekend of March 13th-15th. If NE ends up losing that weekend, then it would be interesting to see if Habs sign Harris. Even if Struble was healthy, he'd surely stay for another year.

- Denver has 6 games left before the NCHC playoffs start on the same weekend as Hockey East. I think it's safe to bet that Stapley will stay for another year of NCAA.

right now they are in a decent spot to make the NCAA tournament so we will have to wait and see. Last nights loss was tough as it's extremely tight in the HE but they have 2 vs Vermont next weekend, one of the worst teams in the NCAA this year though the tournament is based off pairwise rankings which uses strength of schedule, the hope is that they end up in the top 4 of the conference so they get home in the playoffs. If they get past the 1st round I would think they would be pretty much a lock to make it to the tournament as long as they don't lose too many games before the playoffs.

If anyone is interested, TVA Sports will broadcast the Chicoutimi game against Val D'Or. Will be a chance to see RHP. Unfortunately Houde is still out with an injury.

Also tomorrow on Sportsnet, Oshawa will face Hamilton @ 4PM ET. So that will be a chance to see McShane.
