Canucks will swap Juolevi for another disappointing prospect from another NHL organization....or he'll be a 'throw-in' as part of a bigger trade.

But I'd be surprised if he's even at training camp next season.....but then I was surprised when Goldy was qualified and brought back to training camp this season.....apparently they tried to deal him at this year's deadline, but no takers.

Great for Utica I guess that these two player will be in the lineup for the stretch drive....but their time as Canuck 'prospects' is virtually done.

It frustrates me to this day. I still don't understand people arguing the reasoning behind it, just crazy.

I hope Juolevi can figure it out, but it is looking less and less likely.

I watched at home. They made the pick and I remember sinking back into my chair just thinking, here we go again, continued Canucks fandom, disappointment.

A poor pick but not that much of a reach. In hind site, worse than could be believed.

Its not impossible that he becomes an NHL regular, but at this point no one in their right mind would bet on it.

I admit I liked the thinking behind the Juolevi pick. Plus, I underrated Tkachuk big time.

Obviously I, like the Canucks, was dead wrong. I feel like hitting big on Boeser, Pettersson and Hughes definitely lessens the sting though.

Yeah I can understand the thinking as well.
Thats why to me it comes down to the Juolevi Vs Sergachev debate, instead of Juolevi vs Tkachuk.
Our CHL scouts, and I think that was the big miss.

Yeah, our CHL scouts in general have been dreadful. It's the only aspect of our drafting that still hasn't improved, even if the drafting in general has come a long way. After Horvat, which was Gillis' last 1st round pick, nobody else has come close. Holding out hope for the trio of Lind, Gadjovich and DiPietro from the 2017 draft, otherwise it's been a stretch to draft players from the CHL who even end up getting signed!

Thank God for Brackett and our Swedish and American scouts.
