The entire Phillies outfield is right there with him, but I'm also pretty sure every outlet has unanimously picked Blackmon as the worst defensive outfielder for 2018.

If he plays like he has been this yes he is a DH. However, last year his defense was okay and coming up in the minors it wasn’t really a concern. Not sure how he got so bad.

He was also a guy getting 35-40 stolen bases in the minors from 2014-2016 and is still (rather comically) listed at his 180 lb minor league weight when he's pretty obviously in the 210-220 range.

Guessing he used to have the speed to cover a bit for his brutal routes and fundamentals and now that he's added 30-odd lbs and morphed into a slow muscled slugger ... not so much.

His slider is basically feast or famine. It’s either a strikeout or a HR against.

That said I wouldn’t bet against him having a rebound season next year. Relief pitchers are notoriously fickle.

I just think we have to stop flirting with guys like travis and pillar at the top of the lineup.

Danny jansen is the type of hitter i want hitting in that 2 hole. I want guys on base next year when vlad comes to the dish.
