When Baltimore beat Toronto Wednesday night + Boston lost to NY...that was the first time the Orioles gained a full game on the Red Sox since beating them head to head on July 24th.

That was 50 games ago.

Braves clinched the NL East. I don't see that team going anywhere in the playoffs though. They're good, but really beneficiaries of the Nationals having a terrible year and the Phillies dropping like a rock in August/September.

Going into the last week of the season, the only real races to watch for are in the NL West and NL Central, but the latter is probably going to get both wild cards so really Dodgers/Rockies might be the only do-or-die end of year race.

I suppose the AL West is still in play with the A's within 3.5 of Houston, but I doubt the Astros will drop that lead in a week and again, the loser gets a WC anyway.

I don't care if they get swept. Got them +140 to win the East in mid July when they were in second, but had a massively better run differential. The Phils were always coming back to Earth, though I didn't expect to win this one quite so easily.

God Pomeranz is useless.

The post-game changed how I feel about thaqt inning a little.

First batter should have been an out. Devers let that ball play him. If he comes in on it he doesn't have to spin and make a bad throw. Second hit was a nothing groundball right at the shortstop, only X was shading to second. First two batters were groundballs that should have been out.

The double steal was bad, but that led to an IBB, followed by a hit in a no outs, based loaded extra inning situation. Felt a little like bad luck.

I just read some article that was trying to claim that CORA HAS A TOUGH DECISION IN FRONT OF HIM vis a vis Devers vs. Nunez at 3B in the playoffs. It was as dumb as it sounds.

Starting Nunez because Devers makes errors every once in a while would be a Claude Julien move.

Especially if Devers continues to hit

I'm watching on MLB. Hawk and Stone (Stone also worked with Harry Caray) are both great and Hawk played with Ted Williams. I agree with Gee Wally that Fenway and Wrigley are the 2 best HF usernames ever! ;) HE GONE!

Didi out for the season. Big blow if they can get past Oakland.

Although Neil Walker seems to kill us to if they go Torres at SS and Walker at 2b then who knows...

He was called a homer. He's the White Sox announcer! He works for the White Sox! What do people want? The Red Sox announcers to root for the damned Yankees! Craziness.
