That's true. Both teams will be very hard to beat regardless. Winnipeg just seems to find ways to score from everywhere. Rinne really pooped the bed this round.

It was a strange series. Felt like very game was men vs. boys, with the teams trading roles.

Whatever happens, hopefully we can deal with the Caps. And hopefully we come out healthy. I feel like the Preds were the most comparable 2nd Round Western team to us, and watching made me think we'd match up pretty well against the Jets. Or either of them really.

Vegas is pretty scary though.

I agree. I guess a few games into their series will give us a better idea. Both have had great goaltending, plenty of scoring and they somehow manage to pull off wins in pretty easy fashion. Hoping for the same on the health front!

A crazy amount of people on the main board are picking the Jets. To me, Vegas has to be the favorite here.

Same. I believe Gallant could ice 6 Meszaros and still somehow win the series. You look at them on paper and you're in disbelief they're there but all four of their lines constantly apply pressure and they move the puck extremely well. I'm gonna take a break from hockey for a bit if they manage to bring in Karlsson. Lol. Can't imagine them with 1-2 more studs on their team.

Pekka Rinne just gave one of the toughest, yet classiest, post-game interviews I have ever seen. Hard not to feel bad for the guy.

Based on more rest, I'll give Vegas 1 game. Jets monster good. Win in 5.

The Jets are vastly more talented. Vegas has just made a habit of making that not matter. And some of those games against Nashville, the Jets looked like absolute garbage.

On top of that, M.A. Fleury looks like a man on mission. I guess I've been converted to a believer on the Vegas story. I think they'd be our tough match up of the three teams left. They'd probably be our toughest match up of the 15 other playoff teams.

My God. You just know they're gonna sign Tomas Vanek in the off-season.

I have believed Vegas was for real since I watched them beat us in December so I know what you're saying, though I didn't believe they would be this good. That said, I think Jets are another level good despite not always looking great against an outstanding Nville team. Still think Jets in 5, or maybe 6 if their legs get a little heavy. Fleury comes back to earth against Laine, Wheeler, Scheifele, Stastny and Big Buf.

But yeah, I think your right, Vegas will be an attractive option for some top level UFAs and they have a ton of cap space.

Yeah, Vanek and all those casinos sounds like a fun relapse story for "The Athletic" to cover some day.

Still don't think Vegas can beat Jets in series but impressed with their resilience in that first period. Could have easily folded after third goal. Instead, they never stop going hard. Makes up for a lot of deficiencies. Bolts could take a lesson.

Could you guys imagine Vegas with Erik Karlsson and Nikita Gusev? I can see Karlsson going there in the summer to be honest. They can definitely land him and I can't imagine why he would pass up on that. Pure speculation. Also more dreaming, imagine if Gusev comes over and you add that to their forward group.

I think I'd be done with hockey for a bit lol

I remember when they spanked us and everyone else in the regular season people on here were making excuses, "Vegas isnt really this good just wait till the playoffs where everyone won't be hungover" lel. Good one.

Watch them play, their puck movement is insane.

Hellebuyck doesn't even look like he knows where he is half the time. How convenient for Vegas.
