Over 30 points vs men in one of the toughest conferences in the NCAA doesn't impress you? What about 9 points in 7 games in the WJC before his draft year? He even worked his way up to the top line on Team USA. Tkachuk would have lit the CHL up like a Christmas tree.

Tkachuk winger though, they have less value to a team than and a defenseman or a center. League is evolving towards puck moving defensemen and skilled centers. The typical power forward still has high value but not what it was 10 years ago.

I can't see the Habs picking Thackuk. Unless we pick 6th, then see it as slim. The 4th pick should be Boqvist, with Hughes, Dobson battling it out for 5th and 6th overall.
