I'd like to apologize in advance to everyone who isn't a Yankees or Red Sox fan because sports media isn't going to shut up about this series until it's over.

don't apologize. the greatest rivalry in baseball (and north american sport) is being renewed in october for the first time in 14 years.

everyone else can deal with it.

When I first read this, I was thinking “you’re 10 years off, the World Series was cancelled 24 years ago”. Then I realized this is obviously a joke, disregarding the 04 World Series because of the Red Sox finally winning one that year.

I still have no idea who’s going to win this series. I can’t make a final prediction. But I’ll know more after tonight.

My only prediction is that every game will be over 3 hours 30 minutes long, because that’s every Yankees/Red Sox game.

Eh you still have at least 3-4 innings against Boston's crappy pen. Well maybe 2-3 innings of crappiness between Sale and Kimbrel.

How many pitches can Sale really go with all the short starts he's had? He's already in the mid-70's. I'd say two innings tops and I don't think they go Kimbrel any more than an inning, maybe four outs with a game tomorrow.
