No they aren't, the Phillies cant really score runs. Only way the Phillies will pass the Braves if Herrera and Hoskins start hitting. They just have problems scoring runs.
Braves aren’t doing anything well right now. Phillies might just have to only play .500 ball at this point.

Marlins Park looks like a depressing place to watch a game. Why is it so dark in there?

The Rockies have an August where they played insanely well vs. teams above .500 yet apparently they can't muster any hits in Petco against the bland, boring, anonymous Padres.

Rockies:

Sweep Oakland
Sweep Atlanta
Take 3 of 4 from the Dodgers

And yet they can't beat the bland, boring, blah nameless Padres. Like, does Petco Park psych them out that much?

The Braves need to wake up. Losing again at home. It's amazing how many teams suck at home this year. Looks like the Phils will lose, you don't want to waste those nights when you can gain a game.

Since the Acuna beanball, it has been a major struggle aside from that sweep in PIT.

Kemp with a YUGE 3 run homer and the Dodgers are 3 outs away from a first place tie.

Jansen gets the save for a 2nd straight night.

The Brewers and Nationals are still playing despite a lengthy rain delay.

EDIT: And despite the 1 hour, 58 minutes rain delay, the game was not called. And the Nats score 3 times.

Now we know why Washington refused to call the game.

I thought this would be like the Blue Jays/Yankees game a few weeks back with a 2 run lead in the 7th inning, an official game, and with an early start tomorrow, they’d call it and get the series over with.

Guess the Nats really think they can still make a late run.

Isn't it the umps' decision?

Mariners hang on. Of course they turned that into a 1 run game.

Mariners might have just won this game despite a leadoff 9th inning walk by Edwin Diaz

How many saves has Diaz blown this season if any?

Not counting the All Star Game, the only one I absolutely remember in a game that counts was against the Dodgers a few weeks back.

Also its the home team before the game. Once game starts only mlb or umpires control it

He's saved 2/3 of Seattle wins, and half of those have been by 1 run. Replace Diaz with an average closer and Seattle is probably battling Anaheim for 3rd place right now.
