LA also needed that one with Colorado lurking (Rallied to salvage a split in Petco).

Sometimes, a split series is better than losing 3 of 4 or a sweep.

Colorado got one, Arizona didn't.

The Dodgers still have the best run differential in the NL. If Jansen is truly back on track, they should win this division. Even with only 9 home games (and 16 road games) left. They have been better on the road anyway.

Colorado's big advantage is they have a whopping 17 home games left. You have to especially like that final week: 4 games at home against a Phillies team that will be out of it unless there is a big turnaround soon and 3 games against a Nats team that will probably not care much.

I wouldn't call it a stomping. It was 5-2 in the 8th inning. Piscotty just iced it and do what the A's always do this season it seems like. Come up huge in a big spot.

At this rate it'll be well over 20 years since his only championship by the time he retires/is eligible so probably not. While he does have a ring he's never made another fall classic which hurts him.

Watching Cardinals/Nationals. Scherzer just showed a plain example of a balk. All these balk calls where the pitcher is just standing there (Like the Walk Off Balk in the Dodger Game a few weeks ago) were not Balks.

Scioscia certainly had staying power with the Angels but don't think he's a Hall of Fame manager.

I just think everyone's glad he pulled through from his mishap on "The Simpsons" and lived another 26 yrs.
