This is the most picks we've had in a draft since 2003. There were 9 round back then and we drafted 4(albeit crappy) NHLers.

Do we still have the rights to Arvid Henrikson?

The cupboards are full again!
We're in much better shape in terms of prospects than we were a couple of years ago for sure.
But the future on the left side of D is still murky, so let's hope for high picks for a couple more years.

who cares about positional need.

And Walford, Tszyka, Romanov, Harris and Mete is a pretty deep group of prospect at LD.

I thought there was an issue with Koberstein's hockey program? He's still playing with AF?

Also, don't we lose Nattinen's rights this summer?

they solved the issue, Alaska runs on oil money and that helped fund their sports programs but oil is up and while I haven't followed the situation much in the past year it sounds like everything is solid. It's his Senior year so we'll see how it goes for him, he more then doubled his assists and he's on a terrible team so hopefully he shows something.

whoops, forgot on Nattinen, we no longer hold his rights.

We hold his rights until June 1st 2019, so there are quite a few advantages to have him on for 1 year AHL contract then 3 years NHL contract.

But if I'm not misaken, even if he signs an ELC, but plays in Laval, his contract slides. So they still have him for 4 seasons instead of 3.
