The 633K that Bruins-Caps did Wednesday on NBCSN was down 24% in ratings, 27% in viewership from Blues-Penguins last year (850K), down 28 and 30% from the Blues-Blackhawks in 2016 (905K).
No love for Bruins in Boston?
Compared to hockey cities (Boston, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Buffalo,...), the number is still poor...

Thanks, but in philly the game was on nbcspFlyers started their season in Vegas, not Anaheim. Was national coverage in Vegas.
oh wow, did not know that, thought Winnipeg would be selling out everything, esp since there team is very good, and it always looked sold out everytime I watched them on T.VFrom my source who has access to local ratings in Canada:
Leafs season opener was up about 20% in Toronto compared to last years opener. Tavares mania is real.
Jets rating in Winnipeg was down "significantly" from last years opener. It seems like the honeymoon period is over in Winnipeg. Between the declining television ratings and attendance issues (couldn't sellout playoff games last season) Winnipeg might not be a long term sustainable NHL market.
