We're not gonna make any moves. The cost is gonna be too high for anything of worth and it just doesn't make much sense. No one has gotten markedly better besides Columbus, and they still aren't better than Boston, Tor or us.

I think it'll be a busy day, but it's gonna be quiet for TB

I think the sharks have arguably made the best move, caps have added we’ll also

They've both made good moves (I really like what Washington did), but I don't think it makes them better than us.

That's how good Tampa is this year. Unless its one of our direct contenders in the East like Boston, Toronto, WSH getting Stone...I don't think there's any moves that teams can make that make them better than TB is right now.

Of course I didn't think Washington was even close to TB talent wise last season, so there's that.

Between McDonagh and Miller being fully acclimated, Cernak being a top 4 gift, Point looking to hit 100, Stammer looking like he'll hit 40 and Kuch just hitting an unheard of level of production...I feel like we've gotten so much better than we were last season without spending anything to do it.

I agree with you and I wouldn’t be mad if we decide to not to do anything. The depth scoring has dried up abit but then we have improved in defence so it hasn’t been that much of a issue. Whatever happens we should be good going into the play offs.

If we moved for Risto (personally I don't think we were even talking about it) I bet Callahan would be going the other way

I love Risto, I would give up any prospect but Foote for him.

Thing is... If we traded for him, that sets up with:
Hedman
McDonagh
Cernak
Risto
Serge

Say we resign Stralman... Would we even have room for Foote?

With Hedman and Sergachev, the last thing we need is an offensive dman, especially one with a questionable level of defensive ability.

We would let Stralman walk.

I love Strals and he has played great for us but it's no secret management has a thing for large guys on the blueline.

I hope we add but only if it makes sense. There's no reason to make a trade just to make a trade with the way this team is going.

Would he even make our power play? We love going with 4 forwards and I don't think we'd move Sergachev for him.

If you're talking about Risto, I am guessing his defense will improve if you shave off 5 minutes a night and place him next to a competent defensive partner.

I don't want the guy or think we need him but we seem to have a interest. Simmonds for a 2019 3rd + 2020 5th.

He's also better than McQuaid by a solid margin, and plays a nasty game. That's really all I'd want him for. So I don't know that I'd be willing to pay Buffalo's price, but I do think he would improve our current D.

Lebrun says we've "checked in" on Simmonds, and not interested in Stone.

They also have Ryan Callahan on their trade board.

...And Vlad Namestnikov, apparently. (Not linked to us; Just happened to glance up and see him.)

Doesn't HF usually go down a few times on this day?

I would pay the price, because we can do the cap shuffeling and manuever later with him if we must. We have this entire offseason to figure out the cap situation and then if it isn't going to work, flip him again.
